The Medium is the problem

I began this blog 4 years ago this week. I've posted over 900 entries and I have genuinely enjoyed doing so. But I feel like it all may be coming to an end.

Readers won't be able to see it, but Blogger, the host of this site, has gone through some changes on how it is set up. In my opinion, they've taken something that worked well and have completely sodomized it. Photos are harder to post and less friendly. Editing is clunkier and less intuitive. It's not as fun as it was before and the process is entirely to blame.

I'm going to take a few days to try to educate myself. We'll see what happens after that.

After an initial 'what the F.. .' I have kind of liked the new format. But what we used before was the really early version of blogger where you saw the HTml code instead of the picture etc. Also our site is pretty basic - just pictures and writing etc.

It took a while to figure out where to find things etc., but i am getting to like it more and more.

It would be a shame if your blog came to and end. You might consider checking out Wordpress, it's user friendly. You can import your blogger site/posts into their platform.

Ken,
Your blog is my favorite website to read. If this blog site doesn't work for you, I encourage you to find another site and continue. It is a very valuable resource and would be a shame to let die just because of the poor website. If you do re-locate, in your last blog entry, tell us where to find your new location. Tim in Seabeck

I agree with Tim. I check regularly to see what you have to say. I'd miss your thoughts if you stopped posting.

Thanks for the kindness, and for the idea that hope may still be out there. I'm working with it... I'm playing with it. I am still stumbling over the system like a blindfolded fool, but I will keep trying.
